Effectiveness of Growth Management Measures

This project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of growth management tools and measurements to combat sprawl like impact fees, urban growth boundaries, and tax increment financing by assessing empirical studies of each. The research team includes PhD students Torrey Lyons and Sadegh Sabouri, and research assistants Alec Barton, Amanda Dillon and Brittany Harris. The result of this work will be brief summaries of each tool, their history, how they work, proponents and opponents views of each, and empirical findings of their success. This project is unfunded.
